Default please help, rasp after LT install

I recently had Hooker LT's installed, and i am not satisfied with the sound at all, how can I make it deeper, and get rid of that rasping sound? My entire system consists of Hooker Long Tubes, custom Y-pipe w/ no cats, borla cat-back. please help! would true duals solve the matter? if so what mufflers? anybody got sound clips with LT's?

Put an 18" bullet muffler in the i-pipe. This will help A LOT. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

My longtube with ORP's sound real good with the hooker catback. That Aerochamber muffler does wonders at getting rid of the rasp. I would imagine that the hooker longtubes can't sound that much different than the SLP's.

are you running a plate, the borla muffler itself is pretty quiet, if you are running without a plate in it is just running stright exhuast. Most people do as mentioned above, put in a flow 1 chamber or a bullet. I plan on adding a qtp elect cutout to replace the plate system in the near future when i put on some flp's.

I have tried all three plates and for now I have the solid block off plate in, still have rasp. I've heard that the bullet in the Y will help but will still have some rasp. Any info that you guys can give me on true duals would help too, ie: the sound quality (deepness, loudness etc..) and if they will kill the rasp, if so I would prob do that cause I like the idea of true duals. also how much would duals be?? what kind of diff mufflers are used? thanks everybody

The bullet is your best option if you are not going to use cats. I don't care what anyone says, you WILL NOT get rid of rasp 100% if you are catless with any setup. Like Mike K. said, the Hooker cat-back is pretty good about rasp but even better with the bullet in the i-pipe. Before I went with true duals, I had Hooker's LTs, ORP, and Cat-back w/ bullet in the i-pipe. But, there still was some minimal rasp.
