Default MAF vs. Speed Density question(LT1)

Sorry for the LT1 post, but I'm not registered at any of the LT1 sites.

One of my co-workers is looking at a 93 Z/28 M6. I know that the 93s are the only fourth gens with speed density. He is looking for a project car... somthing he can mod over time.

How do the speed density cars react to mods in relation to the MAF cars? Performance? Cost?

Thanks,

They respond fairly well to most mods. It is the only year that has a replaceable chip (instead of a power programmer). Send your friend to the store for a copy of the TPIS book on modding LT1 cars. It may be slightly harder to tune, but a cam and a chip from Ed Wright performance will do the trick (as well as other mods)....they are tunable...and still make power. I wouldn't think the difference would be too great (as long as you can get a chip for the mods). Read TPIS's book....then send him shopping.
