Question NGK TR55's Changed?

I have been using TR55 for a few years now and just bought a set last week and the plug end has changed. Now it is not the silver removable type like in the past but a light brown and solid. Has anyone else noticed this? I though it was a design flow but all the ones the local O'Riley has are like that.

Looks like they updated them so the end doesn't come loose anymore.

And it's for the better too! Those little bastards like to come unscrewed and go all the way to the back of a sparkplug boot. I had to crack the porcelon off of an old plug, then grind down that metal ring below the snap on part, then stick it in the boot twisting to fish it out.
