thats all i want to know...BTW if i do get it i will tune the car so work with the t stat and the fans...

depends what your goal is with it. Lower temp thermo just means it will open at a lower temp and aloow the water to circulate.

It appears to be the general consensus that the stock one is fine and just reprogramming the fans to kick in earlier is the easy option.

while a cooler engine may be good, one running too cool is also un-efficent. It's a balancing trick and personally I'm quite happy to lean on GM research.

Also probably not really an issue in FL but a lower temp thermo may also make the heater appear less efficent.

A larger core radiator and/or oil cooler are the best bets for improving the engine from a temperature aspect.
