Macs or Hooker headers? Guys i already have a hot cam and my next step is headers. I'm getting the headers coated from speed inc. and i'm going with off-road set-up.
I want to know which are the best in performance, price, clearence (my car is lowered), easy fit and rust-free, between the macs and hookers? <img border="0" alt="[USA]" title="" src="graemlins/patriot.gif" />

Re: Macs or Hooker headers? I have Macs and thing they are a great value. Probably better for a lowered car then LTs. Great fit, no banging of Y-pipe, etc... I installed them myself not long ago (never having done headers before) and it was easy, just time consuming. I got mine for $499 with ORP delivered.
BTW, how is the hotcam? That's the next mod I'm planning....

Re: Macs or Hooker headers? the hookers will net more power than the macs. LT's always make more power than Mid's. The clearance of the Hookers are great also b/c they are slip fit. you wont have any problems especially with the ORP. I've got Jet Hot LT's(copied from hookers) and a 3" y pipe with cats in it. I haven't scraped anything yet and i'm lowered 1.5".

Re: Macs or Hooker headers? I say hookers. If you are going to take the time to install headers why not go long tubes so you dont have to do it again later. I have hookers and they were super easy to install. I would get the hookers because i guess people are having problems with the jet hots and the k members.
