Driver side MAC header install HELP!!!!

Driver side MAC header install HELP!!!! Trying to go through the top, I have the valve cover off but I can't get the motor mount loose (Took out 3 of 4 bottom bolts, that go to the K member I'm guessing, top ones I can't get to) the steering shaft is in the way on the 4th bolt and I dunno how to get it or the steering shaft out. I've tried everything I can so far to get it in the bottom and top. No go!
The bottom there isn't enough room either, it won't even go in 1/2 way.

Re: Driver side MAC header install HELP!!!! I did not have to unbolt motor mounts or steering shaft. It took couple of minutes to find the right angles. You tried to turn steering wheel into different position ?

Re: Driver side MAC header install HELP!!!! Dropped in from top on driver's side. Took a few different angles. Only removed coil pack.
Passenger side, removed starter, cut casting on block, and went in from bottom...
Just don't get frustrated.... It WILL go in...

Re: Driver side MAC header install HELP!!!! I have gotten 3 sets of macs on 3 different cars all throught the bottom on the drivers side, you just have to work at it, having a friend really helps.

Re: Driver side MAC header install HELP!!!! Mine went right in from the bottom,did not have to remove the oil filter.Make sure your car is high enough to get the right angle.I also removed the front wheels just to make it easier to climb under the car!
