Default The ultimate TB bypass mod???

Well the project is ever closer to being done.. looking at firing it up wednesday night.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Here is my over-engineered, **** retentive TB bypass mod. I had a #6 AN fitting welded to the LS6 coolant line then ran #8 braided hose directly to the radiator. I also cut off the cooling nubs from the Throttle Body and filled the holes with JB weld.. now its like the car never had coolant lines to the TB.. think I will fool the dealer?? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

<img src="http://members.aol.com/steven0932/bypass.jpg" alt=" - " />

Tomorrow I add coolant, PS fluid, oil and bleed the new brakes.. im excited and a little worried that I forgot to tighten something.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I don't know if I'd go through that much to bypass TB coolant but that is probably the cleanest LS1 I have ever seen.

<img src="http://members.aol.com/steven0932/motor7.jpg" alt=" - " />

All AC and PS lines converted to teflon lined braided.. all engine brackets smoothed and powder painted.. lots of detail work and a new TR 220 cam and valvetrain. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Cant wait to fire it up and hit the car shows and races!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Man that's nice! <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

I could not take that one to the track. Heck, I'd be afraid to take it out of the garage.

I was nearly blinded by your engine pic. when it popped up on my screen. Very nice. Yeah, I think you may have a problem convincing a dealer it's stock.

Sorry if it's been brought up before but what are the bolts/washers? They really add a nice touch.

Also, the car is made to be driven.. hard.. and while its not a daily driver I will be drag racing it at the SLP CAD later this month and road racing it at buttonwillow in May..

Thanks for the comments everyone <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

your car belongs in a magazine...can you get someone to publish the car? Try Road and Track - all they publish now are Bee-Mutt-WWWs ...tell them this would be a refreshing change ...it would surely increase their readership...

...maybe GM execs will read it and start up F-Body production again!

...i would be scared to change the oil in your car ...i might spill some on the polished parts - WOW!!!
