Default Installed my Hooker LT's.

I have had them on for a few days and man do i love them. I had access to a lift and i had all the tools for the job. I had help with the easy side (the drivers side) and no help with the passenger side. I had all the old pieces of in about a half hour and the drivers side on in about and hour and a half. So two hours for the drivers side and now to the hard side. I have big hands and that didnt help me one bit. I had all the spark plugs out except #8 and all the header bolts loose except the the last one. Couldnt reach. Finally asked a local shop and they said to take the rear two coilpacks off and thats what i did. So much easier. The passenger side headers slide right in but with out someone to help hold them in place it was damn hard. The Y-pipe just slide right on after that and i pluged in my O2 simms and lowered the car and started it up. Fired up on the first turn and man is the differance noticable. The only thing is that there is more vibrations now and sometimes i get a couple loud vibrations. I have to trace them down still but wow what a seat of the pants differance. Ill have it dynoed as soon as i can. I followed the directions that came with the LT's and the only thing i would add/change would be to tell people to take off the coilpacks on the passenger side. My exhaust is just as loud as i wanted it. I am running a Flowmaster catback and no cats. I have a little rasp at about 1700-2200 and it gets way lounder at wot. I love the sound. I have a little more drone at about 1500-2000, but not alot more then before. Just thought id share my exerience with you guys.

Wish I was as lucky...

After getting my MACs in after 3 days of on and off fighting, started the car and fought leaks everywhere. Got all the leaks fixed as far as I can tell but the SOTP meter says the car falls flat on it's face now. SIGH!!!!! Back to the drawing board.

It felt so much better doing it myself and when i was done it felt even better. No way was i going to spend $400 to have a shop put it on for me. Its been on for a week now and i have a few more vibrations. I have a few new rattles and i think its the heat shield rubbing on my Y-pipe. Im going to put it back on the lift and make sure everything is still tight. My sotp feel was right. I went to the track and now im right back were i started before i put my stereo in. I was arunning 13.6's @100 and then after my stereo i was running 13.8's both with 2.0 sixty foots. I could never get lower then a 13.8 I took my subs out (3 12's @26lbs apiece) and i was running 13.6's again. Ran it the other night and ran only two passes. First run was a 13.7 @101 and my secound run was a 13.675 @102 with a 2.1 sixty foot. I know there 13.5's in her. Im going tonight after work and get in a few more runs. The only mods i have is an intake, LT's and flowmaster catback - the cats. I have eibach sportlines on there with stock shocks and i think the springs are hurting me. I went ahead and bought the prokit and the revalved bilstiens from Strano. My new LCA's go on next week end so they should help. Sorry for my babbling.
