Weird idle problem with ported TB Hi,
I have my buddies TB on my car which was ported by Bret Bauer a while back...I have a 2002 WS6 M6. I have a question but don't know if you guys can help. When he steps on the clutch and releases the throttle coming to a stop, the idle jumps to about 1500-1700 RPM for about 5 seconds and drops down to normal (800 RPM or so.) . Do you know what may be causing this? The idle set screw is set to the "stock" position. How can we "fix" this? Anyone out there who had a similar problem, please chime in... Thanks a lot!

Re: Weird idle problem with ported TB did you reset your PCM after the swap? You need to disconnect the battery, and then let the car sit in neutral for 5 minutes(use your E-Brake). once the car hits 160-200 deg. and 5 minutes put it in drive and then into park(only for an automatic I think, m6 just leave it in neutral) and then shut the car off.
Re: Weird idle problem with ported TB Too much air is getting passed the throttle blade. Set the idle screw down and see if that helps. If not, you'll have to fix the blade to flow less air, epoxy and re-drill a smaller hole.
