Default I beat it!!!

Finally got the plugs and wires done on the Trans Am. NGK TR-55's and Taylor Thundervolts. It took 4 hrs.!!! Most of which was spent on that SOB #8 plug. <img border="0" alt="[shoot]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_guns.gif" /> The other 7 are cake.

Sorry, had to share, I feel like I accomplished something getting that #8 done.

That #8 took over 3 hours, I had the 1st 7 done very quickly. Big hands and arms don't go well with cramped spaces. After trying various other techniques, I finally ended up using gardening shears to pull the wire off the plug and ended up duck taping a big screw driver to my ratchet to get it down there.

Thanks to installuniversity.com's perfect directions, it took me 1 hour to do all 8 plugs on my first try. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Two thumbs up for installuniversity.com!! <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

I hear ya Buckeye. It took me 8 hours. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> How about that? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> Being 6'7 250lbs with big hand/arms sure doesn't help especially on an '00 with all the damned AIR/EGR crap. That number 8 coil pack bolt literally took hours. I threw that mo fo about a 100 yards.

You can now officially say that you survived #8 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

But 4 hours for a plug change <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> No really, I remember when I changed mine while I did my header installation--that was some hard work <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

There is a new ratchet that has an adjustable neck that locks it has a long handle and will make #8 an easy job even for the big guys the ratchet is $18.00 I have it and its really useful on our cars.
