Had Optima's in many different cars over the years, mostly in Cali and Florida, never had anything but good service from them.

Currently I have a red top in my Formula.

Different strokes different folks. Off the F-body topic but here's my story. Three years ago I was chasing a really bad knock problem that sounded like valves on my 911. I spent way to much time tearing down the engine and rewiring regardless of advice saying I had a spark problem. I had a brand new Die Hard biggest and baddest you can buy that replaced my Checker special that fried every year on the nose like clockwork. I went with the Die Hard hoping the spark problem was in the battery. NOPE. Die Hard = Knock Hard. Like the Checker special, one year and she DIED HARD. I was fed up and Price Club had Optima Reds on sale for $89. Fu(K Sears warranty I went with it. Well needless to say, my knock went away and the Optima has been cooking now for almost 3 yrs. I am sold. The AC Delco from my T/A became a remote starter for an RC plane and Optima resides in its place. That was mod #1. 2 yrs and running Phx, AZ.
