Just starting mods hi all about to buy some headers what would be a good header to go with i found a bbk header for about 450 with everything i need but they are chrome is that ok im not worried about weight tho so will the chrome headers hold up pretty good the only prob is that they are for the 5.7 LT1 will they fit my car? and all but also im not running a car i just have a straight pipe through it my cause should run fine and all right:? of and btw i have a 95 trans am 5.7 v8
also i know this sounds dumb but how do i fund out exactly weather i have a ls1 or lt1 and how do i know if i have the air injection or egr

All 93-97 v8 camaro's and birds were lt1's. Are the headers long tubes or shorties. Long tubs are the way to go with headers. Running the car w/o cats isn't a problem for the car just kind of hard to get inspected unless you know someone

ok well im assuming i dont have the egr or air injection so ima get the pacesetter LT with the y pipe will that eliminate my cat cause i have my cat there just a straight pipe 
knew a shop to do it also the headers are for a firebird they will still fir up there right?

Yes they will still fit camaro and firebirds. They are the same cars with a different outer shell.
You probally do have egr but you should be able to delete it or leave it if you want to.

You need to learn more about your car. You weren't even sure what motor was in it & were gonna buy parts. Slow down, read, learn & then mod. You will spend less money in the long run.
