Default Owners of Dynatech LT come in...

I have pretty much made my mind on the dynatech headers for an install this spring. I am just wondering a few things about them.
1) how is the quality, fitment issues, or anything bad to say about the coating
2) If you hooked up all the necessary sensors, how was that....I see that their collectors have O2 holes, any other emission controls needed with them?
3) If you have this header with the LM, I heard they aren't as bad with rasp as other headers, if they are what have you done to quiet them down.

Any other info is greatly apprecaited, thanks.

Mark

EDIT: Any clearance issues, the car has eibach sportlines, I can make a custom Y and cats, its just the headers im worried about.

My only problem is the collectors too. I have had them off at least 3 times, filling the tubes with high temp RTV to stop leaks. I too had to beat the body some to get them to fit. But as Rob said, once they are on, I have had no problems.

I would actually buy some of the Kooks headers if I had to do it again. Their stuff on the Mustangs is top quality.

I really don't want to have to dut the drain plug, becuse of the magnet on the end is useful. I also change my own oil so this isn't sounding too good. Please tell me that I can do it without too much hassle.

Anyone else chime in on the subjext also?

I just install dynatechs with the merge collectors.

They went in very easy.
No 'beating the body'
No cutting of the drain plug.

They fit and were easier than my old Mac's.

did they redesign the dynatechs? because i know im not the only one that had to cut his drain plug. as we all know, dynatechs are off-road FLP's which for a long time didnt fit for ****. beating of the body and drain plug clearances were very poor

FWIW, I had to install a shorter drain plug as well (I just bought a really short one, instead of cutting mine).

Things are worse now, since my Dynatechs have taken a serious beating from a few excessive wheelstands, and they have been bent even closer to the drain plug...

I've been very pleased with mine, but I'm looking into some 1-7/8" headers in the future (from TR or Kooks...). <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

FWIW...I run the stepped headers...not sure what difference that makes in locations (1 3/4 to 1 7/8) with a standard 3" collector
