You can install it without welding but welding it would be a better idea than just bolting it up.

No welding required. Had the included I-pipe welded to my merge collector. No leaks and a good solid sound.

Not one bit of welding required. Everything fit tight without a single leak for me.

I haven't done any welding, but I do have a modified SLP Y-Pipe I intend to weld to the I-Pipe.

My biggest problem was the I-pipe to "over axel" pipe slip joint. All of the slips in the system were well done, except this one which had interference. I had to use a tailpipe expander to get it openned enough to slip together. I'm still not happy with it, and I will probably work on it some more so I can get it together the way I want.

The only other issue is the LH tailpipe. It's at a funny angle in the car. I'll have to fool with that some more, but if I can't get everything situated, then I'll have to do some cutting and welding on that.

I would recheck your positioning of the I pipe. If the SLP is longer than stock you will have to cut, but if it hooked into the stock exhaust, the system should bolt right up.
