Default Intake Install??

I dont really want to make the time to swap my intake out and dont have half of my tools where i am living temporarily. I was wondering how much someone would charge to swap it for me and would a regular mechanic be alright to do it or try and search out someone who does alot of ls1s (none around that i can find so far)??

All you need is screwdrivers and like 2 or 3 different size sockets and a rachet. Labor at the GM dealer will be around $200-$250

**** paying GM that much to do it. I would pay somebody like a bill lol. I dont have a whole lot of car working time right this second and could use it better than spending hours doing a stupid intake swap. Always seems like something minor goes wrong and it takes double as long to do anything as its supposed to. Better keep my day job huh? HAHA

If you don't want to do it yourself, I know of a place about 1 hour 45 mins away from your location, if you wouldn't mind driving. PM me if you want to know the business, they do great work at great prices.

The only thing to worry about when putting the intake on is breaking the oil pressure sending unit. Just be careful and slow when pulling the intake away, the brake booster can break the sensor off, so be careful with it. It really is a pretty easy swap to do and it only takes about 2 hours.

Remember before hand that you will either need the coolant bypass lines or you can grind the ridges on the bottom of the manifold to allow the clearecne for the existing coolant lines. I just grinded the bottom of my manifold down, its easy and cheap.
