Re: got my KOOKS headers! PICS! Sound like we have two good choices now. My stainless QTP's slid on...starter stayed on, just removed the oil filter to make it easier. Man are they nice...and at 4675 the price is fair. Lets not make it a war between the two, just rejoice we have two decent choices. Both are very knowlegeable and evidently build nice headers. I can say quality control w/ barry was tops. But man that waiting game is a killer in spring.

I have the Grotyohann LT's. I got them right before QTP bought the design. I recently put a dent in the pass side header.
I Really like the design of the new QTP with merge collectors. I was really glad someone came out with the design. But I can't wait 2+ months for them.
I called Kooks yesterday and talked with Nick for quite awhile. First off... Nick was super cool. He took the time to go over all kinds of stuff with me. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" /> I told him all about my settup, what I wanted, what I needed, and how I was going to use it. we even talked about what was to come in the future.
I wanted merge collectors, but Nick told me I might see 10hp max. Maybe nothing at all. He thinks they are not worth the cost unless you want every last HP possible.
Also from what I understand. Kooks headers are not from the Grodyohann design. Kooks headers were designed over a year ago. Kooks pretty much started from the ground up and then tuned the header. Now they marketing them and people are starting to hear about it. They look very simular to Grotyohaan/QTP, but they are not.
Anyway. I can't wait to get my Kooks headers. I don't think I will be disapointed at all. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> GO KOOKS

If I remember right. The price for a set of 1-3/4 Strait Stainless is around $865. & $245 for the off road Y-pipe. They also offer a Y-pipe with cats.

Re: got my KOOKS headers! PICS! The main factor is that you can actually have a set of Kooks headers in your hands in 2 weeks and the QTPs - well who knows wehn you'll get them.
The quality will be at least as good, if not better plus they are a great company to deal with.
