Guys with CUSTOM true dual setups
I was debating on ditching the catback and running a bullet muffler underneath the car at the end of the Y-pipe to save some weight/money. However, I have an SLP CME and want to maintain that look. Can an exhaust shop keep my tips hanging out the rear even if I'm dumped under the car? I know it will be LOUD, I'm fine with that. However, will it still have a metallic rasp (almost like a piece of metal is rattling, its not, but it sounds like it). Anybody have any sound clips of this setup? I was leaning towards the Borla to try and hush it up as much as possible. The neighbors will kill me with the TRex coming up.
Or.. a custom true dual setup. I was thinking of running a custom H-pipe out the back and having each pipe dumped under the car through bullets. I don't feel like paying to have it go over the axle and out the back. Again, could I have an exhaust shop keep my tips hanging in the CME valence? Would this setup have any more power over the first setup I listed? What did you all pay for your custom true dual setup? Thanks everyone
$100 for 2 Magnaflow mufflers
$150 for local exhaust shop to fab up the x-pipe and install everything
Being you have CME I'd do it right and run the TD's out CME tips. I think the car will look weird with the dumps hanging out the bottom, then having another set of tips at the rear.
