EGR mod???

Ok I'm pobably going to sound pretty stupid asking this, but here goes. I have a 2001 WS-6, and I have been doing some reading on the free mods. One of the free mods I see is cutting out the EGR tube that sits in the mouth of the intake. I just popped the hood of my car so that I could get a closer look at everything before I started, I don't even have an EGR tube in my intake. Is this normal? Is the EGR mode just for people before 2001 or what? Help me out here guys, is my car messed up, or have I just been smoking too much dope?

your smoking too much <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> ...the 2001 and up F-bodies have the LS6 intake which has no EGR <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

No you cant do the EGR mod. Your car is fine. 2001 was the first year they took the egr away. you have an ls6 intake.

I have a 99, and if I get a LS6 intake what do you have to do to get it to function properly. I know the coolant lines and EGR, but let's get more specific.
