Re: 02 sims I just installed the O2 Simms. I monitored the output voltage with my scan tool after the install. It was oscillating between 0.435 VDC and 0.735 VDC. It's supposed to switch every 300 milli seconds. I didn't clock the switch time, but it was pretty quick. This is the output the PCM is looking for. It tells the PCM that your cats are working properly even if they have been gutted or removed. It's an R/C network that has a little LED that blinks everytime the O2 Simm switches states. The nominal voltage is 0.450 VDC so as long as the O2 Simm toggles above and below that value the PCM will be happy. I just gutted my cats too so my system appears to be totally stock. As a matter of fact the factory post cat O2s are still screwed into the bung behind the cats.
Re: 02 sims How do the O2 sims hook into the o2 sensors. I guess I'm missing how exactly they plug in if the post O2 sensors can remain in the bung of the pipe. I just gutted my cats the other night and ordered a set of O2 sims last night.
