Find where the fuel line connects to the fuel rail(middle of rail on driver's side) and locate the rubber collar. Push the rubber collar towards the fuel rail as far as you can. Now you should see a chrome fitting on the end of the fuel line. Place the fuel line disconnect on the fuel rail right in front of the chrome fitting with the small end facing the chrome part. Now push the disconnect towards the chrome fitting and hold it, then push the chrome fitting towards the disconnect. Keep pushing the the peices together until you can remove the fuel line. I recommend keeping a rubber vacuum cap handy because fuel will come out of the rail. Or just stuff a rag or paper towels under the fuel line.

Hope this helps

Thanks again No CATzZ.

It came off exactly like you said. I had trouble at first because I was using the metal tool. I took it back and used the nylon tool and it came right off.

Yeah, the metal ones look nice but aren't very useful...maybe better for tranny or power steering lines. Craftsman makes one that seems to work on the first try everytime. Glad I could help. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
