Thermostat Torque question
Thermostat Torque question I am changing out my thermostat for a new 160 'stat I picked up from SLP. I am just trying to figure out the torque specs on this thing. All this has is the rubber o-ring, so I don't want to over-tighten this thing and start leaking anti-freeze all over the parking lot. I did check ls1howto.com and I found the water inlet housing (which I assume was right there was no thermostat on the list) and they said 11 ft/lbs. This is what I am going with tomarrow unless someone says different. Please if anyone thinks that 11 ft/lbs is not right let me know so I can get this thing on right.
