coil differences?

will ignition coils from any year ls2 or ls6 work fine on my 98 ls1?

the ls6's pre 2000 should be a direct fit, but the ls2 would require a modified harness if they will work at all. Do you have a bad set or something? cause you would not see much if any difference or gain with the ls6's.

was there any ls6 pre 2001?

I've been having some misfires, took it to autozone, and four of the coils were throwing codes. swapped them, the codes followed.
The car has over 188000 miles... so I'm looking for a good deal on some new coils.

Get some MSD replacement coils for your car, you won't be dissapointed.

My wallet would be very disappointed...

that's why I'm wondering if the ls2 or ls6 coils will work, so if I see some up for sale at a decent price I can try to get them.
