Default SLP Lid...

fits like ***. anyone else have these problems, i tired to cut my smooth bellows to fit closer to my tb but it just doesnt line up. its like the radiator topper thing is cocked to the side. its off like maybe a few millimeters but it make a difference. my passenger side from lip of the lid sticks out and the top of the cylinder hits my hood. ive had it a while but i just put in my 160 t-stat and tried to fix it.

get rid of the smooth bellows. put the stock bellows on and it should fit fine. I have the SLP lid with stock bellows and it works/fits great.

lol no way. the smooth bellows is hypothetical physics. it sounds like it makes sense but it's really worthless. take it out, you won't see a difference, i promise. it's for looks.

I had the same problem on mine, it kept wanting to push the lid, and pop one of the clips up, was a real PITA with the smooth bellows, don't care anymore. =)

Just put the stock bellow back in. As mentioned before, it is known that smooth bellows are purely for looks. I've had my SLP lid on 3 different F-bodies and it fit amazingly on each one of them.

The smooth bellows equaling a performance gain is a mith or shall I say pure .. ..it is nothing but cosmetic...the stock bellows works fine...

I have a SLP lid and Fernco, a little snugger than before but fits right up. Sometimes I have to put everything on 1 piece at a time but still goes on perfect.

I dont exactly have a lid yet but eventually im getting the slp one, I dont have ramair either, but im also getting that when I have enough $ saved. Those of you with the ram air kit, do the lids fit properly under the hood with it? Or does it interfere at all?

just wondering

edit: I have the K&N cold air intake too, would the SLP + ram air hood and kit + K&N cold air fit properly under the hood?

Agreed. I've run another brand (from a place that's no longer in business) that fit horribly, and I've seen others at car shows that don't fit that great either. My SLP lid fits great along with my baker hose and MAF-delete pipe, but the previous owner had the lid on his Camaro so it's got a few rub marks on it.
