Nice numbers, what did the tune cost? I need to get my Y welded up and I am thinking a tune should be my next investment.

Mine came out of the last batch, got them about two weeks ago.
The passenger's side header looks great, no globby tig welds, individual component fitment looks great - transistion from mounting pad to primaries is smooth and appears to fit well.

Driver's side header is another story, lots of welding splatter inside the primaries, lots of over-weld around the transition from the mounting surface to the primaries. The air fitting is welded in what appears to be the proper location but wasn't drilled thru the primary. The HVMC has two big dents in it near the primary merge point, this has caused the aft/larger end of the HVMC to be severly egg shaped.

Put them side by side and they look like they were made by two different places. I sent pictures of the dents and the egged HVMC and was told everything appears normal.

I just hope they fit up right when I go to install them.

Damn for that kind of money I'd be pretty pissed to be having quality issues.

Hopefully the install goes smoothly and you won't have to see those welds for loooong time.

what did the tune cost?
The tune cost only $150.00 Canadian, and the reason he only charged me that much was because he could only get an additional 6 RWHP out of the tune. He did 8 Dyno pulls total. I told him that I was pleased with the original numbers right off the street and if the tune proved that in stock trim, I was getting the best out of the car, I would still happily pony up the dough for his time (he quoted me $500.00 on the phone), but he still cut me a sweet deal. How many tuners do you know that would do that? Martin and AFI is a class act.

how is ur ground clearance
Reasonable. It hangs quite low, but not really any lower than my original SLP Y pipe on my stock manifolds was. We spend alot of time adjusting the Y to be sure it didn't hang any lower than it has to.

Thanks for all the responses so far. I'm going to submit the dyno tests to LS1Sounds. Look for the Silver Firehawk under SLP Dual/Dual.

Weezer, I would definitely go back to QTP and question them on the issues with your drivers side header. It sounds like the header wasn't finished properly.

Start an account with Photobucket.com. You can make neat little albums and upload pics/video. They allow up to 100mb vids!

I can't wait to put my dual/dual on, but it's been raining for 3 days straight!

Y pipe does not bang at all. HOWEVER, we spent ALOT of time adjusting and readjusting the Y to get it as close to the underside without the risk of banging. I would say there is around an eighth of an inch clearance in some sections, especially where they Y merges into the flowmaster collector. It is definitely worth while to spend time adjusting the Y. It does fit quite well once its buttoned up properly.

The sound is very quiet at idle, and I get no rasp or resonance of any kind at any RPM. It sound mean as hell at WOT though. Everyone knows you are not stock when you hit the gas

Hmm, thanks for the detailed reply. I think i might just do the motor mounts to be save. That seems to be the solution to stop the ypipe from banging if it does.
