Never said that the headers hit anything. But prying down on the collector area is the point that you want to use to get the added clearance. Prying down on the collector area will in turn bring down the y-pipe.

do not yhink the area you are suggesting is the problem..from what i can see..it is usually farther down by the dr. seat..Whatever.

Same area... that's just the area to pull down on. You're not bending the headers all to hell.
