Default LPE vs. FAST intake

It may not even be a comparison but when I bought my car it had the weiand lingenfelter intake already on it. Well here lately I have heard that these intakes are heavy and dont flow much, if at all, better than stock. they were mainly produced for looks is what I take from it. Should it stay or should it go? Does it compete with the FAST or even the ls6 intake?

thanks Corey

It's on par, or a little ahead of the LS6. The FAST will only benefit you if you're running a stroker or at least H/C. A max effort cam only setup could use it too.

Agreed. Its basically the LS6. Although they are know to heat soak a bit.

The FAST is much better IMO.

I would go FAST if you have the money for it.

LOL! Your avatar is amazing.

I do agree being simple to port has its pluses though but really the ls6 or the fast 90 is all that really should be looked into unless you want ITBs or something equally exotic.

Consider the LS6 manifold modified to accept a 90mm TB. TPIS is now selling this modified manifold. This manifold is a drop-in fit on the C6 Corvette, whereas the FAST does not fit so easily. Lingenfelter also sells the TPIS-LS6 manifold.

If you got the money go with the fast. If you are worried about weight and heat soak but don't have the money for a FAST then get a used LS6 intake. If your just some minor bolt ons, leave it it's fine!

The LS6 gives more HP than the Weiland. A FAST would be best if you have a H/C setup.

Well my current setup if the lg g5x3 cam with patriot golds. would I see quite the improvement with this cam by switching to the fast. Other minor bolt ons are a MTI throttle body, lid, and mufflex exhaust kit
