Overheating
Overheating i was cruseing down the highway yesterday and was you know ocasionaly tauting the passing driver when i ran it to a stang we crused around 80-125 any ways after he backed off and i got abotu 5 minutes down the road i had my check gauges light come on and i noticed that i was over heating i ran the temp gauge up to 250-260 i imediatly let off the gas moved over lanes and and the temp started to drop and i pulled over to the side of the road and poped the hood and it wasnt steaming like to see when a car over heats in the movies but i looked under the car and it was pissing anti freze all over the pavement but the is WHERE IT GET INTRESTING i though it was just running over the over fill but it wasnt it was all coming from the back side of the drivers side of the engine so i have 2? one did i blow on of the plugs from when i changed from the ls1 to the ls6 intake or did i blow head gasket but there was no white smoke. so i waited to let it cool down drove it down the road to a gass station and filled it back up with water and drove it back home 45m minutes with no and it never went over 205-210 problem so what the hell happened i dunno i lost fluid as a got back the the hose when i checked but what the hell happened?
There is a pump you can hook up to your radiator. where the cap screws on. just pump it up and look to see where it leaks. Some leaks only happen when the car gets really hot (pressure goes up).
