Default Header Install Concerns

So today I planned on working with my buddy on getting my pacesetter lt's on the 2000 z28. Well I got to his house and he decided against attempting the install because he thought there were too many technicalities that may come up. He is more the mechanic than I am and I wouldnt dare attempt it without his help. The main concerns were having to clearance the K member and also having to jack up the motor. So I need some help here cas I really dont wanna pay 300+ bucks to do this damn install. Anyone who has put Pacesetter Lt's with emissions in, how hard was it truly? How mechanically inclined must one be? Do we have to jack up the motor to do this install? How risky/difficult to clearance the K member? Any suggestions much appreciated!

oh and also the steering shaft. I noticed that some people removed it for installation but i was wondering if that is a must and if so if it is very difficult and technical.

HA! Pacesetters are a DREAM to install. I unbolted my Pacesetters yesterday and they literally fell out on the ground below the car.

My earliest memory of wrenching was sticking my arm into the methanol tank on a late model (at the dirt track) to retrieve a rag washed into the tank from the fuel funnel. I was so small, I could go in all the way to my shoulder.

I've knew a few younger people who knew their ****, but a lot more who didn't have a clue, and a TON more who thought they did. I got my car at 17, but I'd been working on dirt-track/motorcross **** for a pretty good while beforehand. Working on stuff like this is pretty simple, just takes time and the right tools.

I've noticed a fine line between people who can do the work, and other people who can't operate a ******* flat-head screwdriver. There's enough resources on the net to help you do anything with these cars, and a great bunch of guys to back you up if you run into trouble.

I was 17 when I learned to weld and did my first set of headers. Some people know their **** and some people know ****. It is just a fact. But my comment was just what it was...a comment. I was simply stating a fact.

I was only 12 when I did my first ____________! (heads and cam, cookie, girl, non-heterosexual experience.)

You see my point?
