Exclamation HELP cant get rear header bolts in

Trying to finish up my edelbrock LT install but the lest bolt all the way in the back on each side I cant get to go in. Anyone else ever have this problem and what should I do? I've loosened the bolts and tried sliding the header all the way forward and moving it around to get the last bolt in but they just wont go. Will it be ok to run with the other five in tight or what should i do?

Definitely don't run with just 5 bolts IMO. If anything take off the coils to give some more room. I had the AIR tube moved to the side and no coils off and didn't really have a problem, not sure what to tell you. My hands aren't exactly gnome hands either so it wasn't bad. The coils should do it. Good luck.

Hm are you reusing the stock bolts? If so, I'd clean up the threads before putting the antisieze on. If still not, then I would pull the header back out (hope it wasn't a bear to put in), and just thread that bolt to make sure. If THAT still doesn't do it, check the bolt in ANOTHER hole, and go from there.

You should have barely started all the bolts then went back & fourth tightening to pull it to the head. I had a little trouble gettin mine back in after a gasket blew, but with patience & a little wiggling they all went back in.

Good point I missed that. Also, when tighten, go from the middle of the head outward.

well i soaked my stock bolts in wd-40 while i worked and then i would have some1 hold the header up from the bottom while i put the gasket on and i put the middle bolts in 1st there the 1's that gave me the most trouble so maybe you need to either loosen the other 5 bolts or take out all the bolts and do the back 1 first but 1 of those choices will work for ya bro. dont get pissed it only make it worse been there
