Default PCV conversion???

has anyone done the LS1 to LS6 PCV conversion? its suppose to fix the oil consumption problem that haunts some of us and not others. I was planning on doing this but I was needing any positive feedback on the issue

Same as the oil problem that some have and some don't, this mod works well for some and not for others. I'm still using a catch can after I did this mod and still catching some oil. Go figure.

I would just do a catchcan unless you are doing a manifold swap or taking it off for some other reason. Its easy to do though I recommend just going to GM for the valley cover and not getting one of the kits they cost about 70 bucks too much IMHO.

Yeah I can probably do it faster but I don't consider it a fun thing to do

I think the LS6 PCV conversion is one of those "while I'm in there I might as well...." type mods. Kinda like when I did my heads and cam on my old LT1 car I did an electric WP, if I didn't have it apart already I probably would not have done that.

JMHO a catch can would work just as well. I did it because I had the manifold off anyways.

HA just saw you roll a GTO damn 15-20 minutes is slow As I was doing the headers Under the cowl on my Z28 I was wondering what the hell I was thinking when I sold my Z06!

I put the LS6 valley cover kit on my car a few years ago. I still got just as much oil in the intake as before. Useless mod and waste of money.

Like they say, works for some and not for others. Unfortunately, the LS6 system didn't fix your issue.

I'm thinking about just going straight to Valve cover breathers, my LS1 has used about a quart of oil since the last oil change which was about 3 months/2,000 miles ago
