Those pics are so dark I can't even see the cutout. From the looks of where the recent weld is on the I-pipe I would say you've got it in the right spot.

Well I just took it out for a spin since about 4hrs. ago. Idk what I was thinking, this thing is LOUD. I love it.

How does it sound set-up like that? Almost seems like it would sound like an exhaust leak to some extent, but maybe being its open all the way around, it would probably sound fine.

The cutout wide open sounds more like an exhaust leak than this setup, trust me. At idle, with it partially capped, it sounds just as mean as wide open. With it partially capped, it sounds very very very good....all the attention of a cutout, without that ear drum shattering "blat blat blat" sound that makes the car sound like a UPS truck on crack. You should try it.
