Default Coolant Question

Will spilled coolant on the serpentine belt cause a loud squeal?
Does it just need to wear off?

Thanks
Bryan

Not on my car it hasn't... I just lightly hosed off the engine when I did my throttle body bypass and coolant got everywhere. It didn't squeal but it smelled like ****... althought it tastes sweet..........

Mine got loud after spilling coolant on them when I did the thermostat swap. BUT...I had shitty pep boys belts. I swapped them out for GM belts which were $1,000,000,000,000

But I don't have any more squeeks

I highly doubt they were 1 trillion dollars.

If you want to make sure it's the belt/pullies squeaking, just pull the belt off and see if it stops. It's fine to run the car like this, just not very long.
