So would it be possible to mount the 1 chambers after the axle near the rear bumper? I currently have Powersticks dumped and I am wanting to run this out the back with 1 chambers and then tips.....

correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't it better to mount the single chambers before the axel so the car picks the mufflers up over pumps and potholes and you don't scrape anything? you should mount them where jmm98LS1 has them. i know his position gives him the best clearance. maybe he can chime in and say where.

It's possible to mount them after the axle. Check out this thread:https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...ber+flowmaster
and watch the videos....he'd got them mounted right before the tips. Personally I think they sound better dumped, but that's all subjective & I'm a little biased.

IMO, they sound better where you have them mounted. i haven't found an LS1 that sounds quite as good as yours. where is your exact mounting location? i don't mean to hijack the thread but i'd like to know for my own future knowledge. it's right before the axle, correct?

They're right between the rear seat humps and the axle tubes. I've got a couple pics that show exactly where they're mounted but not here at work. I'll post them this weekend if I get a chance.

jmm98LS1, do you have any vibration with your setup inside the car with it being dumped? Before i got my 99 SS I took the cat off my old 96 camaro and replaced it with a cutout and it vibrated like crazy. thanks

I have friend that has a 05 GTO with a rather large cam LT ORX and 1 chambers mounted right before the tips and it sounded awesome. He kept getting pulled over for it being to loud so he recently switched to 40 series. Car is isn't near as loud but overall the tone is the same not exact but close.

i have pacestters, custom 3" duals with the pacesetters after the axle with the tips on the muffers, and it is f>#$%ing loud. Havent gotten pulled over yet. with my cam and high stall its impossible to keep the revs low and noise down.

i dont think i could ever part with this exhaust....... definatlely turns heads anywhere within 3 miles, glad you like them........

Did you mean pacesetters or 1 chambers after the axle?

Vibration?....I can shake up chocolate milk in my cupholder at idle. Seriously though, my center console is the only thing that vibrates, but it buzzes pretty good from 1600-1800rpm---the same rpms I get interior resonance. If I rest my arm on the console & keep my hand on the shifter it's not near as bad.

Can you post up some pics and a sound clip. Thanks
