having some trouble deciding on some LT headers Recently bought my 99 SS and have gone to SLP loudmouth exhaust and lid and smooth bellows. Im hungry for more power and cant deside where too go any suggestions on some LT headers and i want to keep it emissons legal also. any help is greatly appricated thanks in advance !!!!

But to answer your question depends on you. You plan on keeping this car the rest of your life? Get stainless steel headers. Kooks/QTP/Stainless Works. Maybe have this car 5-7 years, get Pacesetters/Any other mild steel headers. Mild/Aluminized will rust eventually, so be prepared for that. How soon it happens depends on geographic location and driving conditions. Snow, rain, whatever. Most longtubes are available with provisions as you wish to retain emissions.
I highly recommend Kooks. But as you nose around the site and do some searching, you'll find all kinds of POLLS and threads with varied accounts on different headers.

On a budget? Coated pacesetters hands down IMO. I put a set on my car and they fit unreal, and went into the car without a hitch. I have heard the ebay headers are good, but have no first hand experience, just Pacesetter and QTP ($). The way I decided, was that I wanted some spare change lying around after doing the LTs, and was changing my whole exhaust setup, so I went with the cheaper headers... Just my opinion. Good luck.
