Can I pass PA emissions by using O2 simms?

Ok, live in a PA and have an all stock 01 Firebird. Mechanic says it needs new cats to pass emissions.

Is it possible to use a set of O2 simms to get ride of the SES light and get me through emissions?

What code(s) you throwing? If it's P0420 and P0430 and you're under 80K stock cats are covered under the federal emissions warranty.

As long as it's your rear o2's throwing the code, just reset the PCM, install o2 sims fire it up and the computer will never know anything is wrong. You could also find a tuner who could do the same without having to buy o2 sims..

Got 120K on the clock now, and it already had the cats done under warranty at 60K.

I know its not the right long term fix, but just want to get it tagged for now.
