Default pulley throwing belts...HELP!!!

I just finished installing all the mods in my sig and now on the dyno the belt is walking right off at around 5500 rpm's. When I took the pulley off I first tried a three jaw pulley remover and chipped off a tiny bit off the pulleys ridges. I filed it down with a dremel because I thought it might chew a belt up. The piece was very very small so I don't think that is the culprit. I am thinking that I don't quite have the pulley on far enough. Is there a way I can check to see if it is in the right position? Also if the pulley is now out of balance because of that chip would my knock sensor pick it up?

so you have an underdrive pulley on now? try a better tensioner, ive heard that katechs are superior and they had a thread on them awhile back, people were having problems throwing belts and they switchted to a better tensioner and had no problem...
