pulley is ok as a last thing on the list mod. dont **** with a thermostat. these engines are designed to be hot not cold. get a tune to turn no the fans earlier

a pulley is usually peoples last resort for bolt ons or for a good gift idea or something. i wouldnt just get hte underdrive pulley. make sure you get the set that comes with the underdrive and the alt. pulley so you wont be losing any power output for your alternator. pulleys are probably good for 3-7HP and a little better mileage. if you have bigger and better things on your list, IMO save up for them but if you just want another bolt on for your sig, get the pulleys

Even with the 160 tstat the car still runs in the operating temps of 190-210 which is a far cry better than 210+. Also a cooler engine by even 15 degrees allows for more timing so its a win win, A UD pulley should net you 9rwhp.

On my old set up I did a tune, 160 stat, Tr6 plugs, ud pulley, and put down 330 338 at the wheels in summer time in palm springs. Car didnt ping until 29.5 degrees on the stock cam

I saw noticeable gains at the track with my ASP pulley. This was back when I was running 13's. I think a pulley is money well spent.
