Default Intake????

Just recently got headers and looking to go with a cam soon. I will be installing a FTRA and SLP air box soon and I was wondering if I should buy a new intake and throttle body before camming up or if it would be fine to just go ahead with the cam. Mainly looking at a possible TR230 cam. Also what would be a good stall to go with that size cam. Not looking to go with nos ever. Daily driver car.

i'm not an automatic man but i'd say a 3500 or so would be great for a dd car. i would get an ls6 intake, the 90/90 probably won't give you much hp without heads and that size cam.

yeah, you can keep the ls1 intake for now but later down the road when you have around 350 bucks i would get the ls6.i'm not 100 % but i think it was the 01-02 that has the ls6 so i may be wrong if you allready have an ls6 intake but i believe i'm right.

nope 01-02 are the only ones with ls6's, if your a4, your going to need a stall before your cam. it wont be streetable and will be very hard to drive around, plus it will take you forever to get into your new powerband with the stock stall..

itll want to die at idle, youll have to drive with two feet just to keep it idling, and it will lag on startoff, you drop .5 on your e/t with a stall on an auto. plus if you get in between 3k-3.5k stall, you just right into your new powerband from that cam....killer combo

I went heads and cam before I went to the FAST setup. Left some serious power on the table prior to the swap.
