Default how much will a tune help?

i came here because i don't get much help on thirdgen.org, so i have an l98 with headers(custome exhaust), and zz4 cam and it hasn't been tuned at all other than timing, how much will a tune help, this is a carbed engine, it does run rich to me about 10 miles to the gallon with a 2000 stall. how much power can i expect from a tune. thanks

All depends on how dead on the tune is really.

It really depends on how rich your car is really running? The more the air/fuel ratio is off the more the tune is going to help

We picked up 80 rwhp on a G Body El Camino several years ago, which really shows just how out of tune some engines can be. As has been mentioned, it really depends on your current state of tune. Bob
