+1 for borla.
i had it on my LT1, and then bought it for my LS1 also.
with my mac mids, catted y-pipe, and borla 1/2 open, there is almost no rasp. not to loud at idle, but nasty when you get on it.

The tips are pure opinion, I love them
i have heard borla in person, and you know what, it sounded like i'd never run it on my car. its only good point is the adjustable plate, but that's why they invented the electric cutout.

maybe you should actually find out if i've heard the exhaust first before you make comments. it was on a black WS6. i specifically waited for him to drive away so i could hear it, and you know what, i almost barfed.

True then if you have heard it thats your opinion, I guess im just suprised you didnt like it. Did he have a partial plate in it? thats when it doesnt sound good imo.

I have an electric cutout in mine, but the motor broke (ghey) so its going bye bye to get rebuilt.

i'm not sure how much it was open. i just waited for him to pull away to hear it. it wasn't all that loud. my guess would be maybe none or 1/4 plate. he saw me in my car checking him out so he kinda got on it on purpose (some young punk lookin' kid in a white t-shirt ). very nice car, just didn't like the exhaust note - it was definitely a unique tone, very different from mine or most LS1's. i've never been a fan of anything borla, though.

I preferr the more refined rumble of the Corsa compared the the raw sound of the Borla. IMO the best sounding is the Spintech.

lol keep the thread going ims tuckb etween these 2 myself for the T/A i heard the borla (open plate) on a 2002 firehawk at the stations and it was an awesome sound. I think the corsa tips are really nice but I also eally like the borla, plus its adjustable. The only thing maknig me lean more towards corsa is the fact you can get it for like almsot 700 at ws6store.com i dont know who has the borla cheapest but if anyone knows let me know

corsa's $655. get the corsa then just add a cutout. you'll have refined sound when you want it, raw sound when you want it, the tips look better and it'll STILL be cheaper than the borla!

Corsa's as well as Borla. I love my Corsa's, but it has a very loud rasp at 2300-2600 RPM's with the Mac mids and ORY, but the quite Flowmasters also had the rasp at that range, just not as loud. But at WOT the sound is amazing with the Corsas. I am considering trying to get a Catted Y so I can swap them back and forth and get rid of the rasp when it got on my nerves. That or put in a bullet muffler.

I got the borla just months after I bought my T/A and love it. I don't bother with the plates, I always have it wide open. It has a nice rumble at idle and roars at WOT. However I have the stock mainford and y-pipe. In my opinion once you install headers and an ORY it sounds like crap. But I feel that way of most systems with headers and an ORY, with two expections, a true dual system or GMMG. The true duals being my favorite. If all you're going to get is a catback system I would go for the borla .
