3.5in Collector to 3in Xpipe system?
Car is a 396 Stroker, big heads, big cam, big shot. Thats being subtle.
Anyway right now the car has 1 3/4-1 7/8 Stepped LTs with 3.5in collectors and im trying to go easy and do the summit x pipe kit.
They only offer 3in at most thought. Is that smart to use? Collecotr wont be able to scavange very well with a .5 drop right after it.
If not im going to have to fab a 3.5/4in kit up.
Tony.

I noticed substantial gains on a stock long block 346 with a decent size nitrous push...im talking up to 40 hp gains in some spots of the curve..
Ive always used the rule of thumb to match the collector size to the size of junction...
3.5" collector gets a 3.5" crossover/X-pipe setup....I ran 3.5" duals dumped at the axle on my car it was well matched.
If theres one thing ive learned over the past 5+ years messing with exhaust setups and LS1s in particular...You cant over exhaust an LS1.

im interested as well, but from the looks of it i am going to hafto go look at a local speed shop to see if i can get something fabbed up, or just see if they got tubing and benders big enough. i know they do 3" wich is bigger then any actual exhaust shops around here... they look at you like your from another planet if you say anything above 2" at the local meiniki or w/e it is.
