Loudmouth ?

Ok, i just put a slp loudmouth system on my 02 z28. It sounds great and feels even better. However, i heard a lot of people say with long tubes and a ory, the exhaust gets really raspy and annoying. How does it sound with long tubes and a catted Y? is it still really raspy and annoying? or if i go with long tubes am i going to have to swap out the resonator.

Oh and by the way, i have read all the stickie, and i did go to ls1 sounds. However, sometimes the mic on those cameras are not very good and pic up a lot of noise. I kind of want to hear somebodies first hand opinion.

you will want swap out the resonator. i had the loudmouth on the setup you described. sounded horrible. all rasp. swap it out with a borla xr-1. that will help it a lot.

if you like the sound it gives now then with a catted Y and LT's it should sound very similar.

You could swap the resonator for a bullett muffler, but it will change the sound.

Mine got bad with hedders,then put in a flowmaster sounded great,but it seemed like it killed power so I swapted it out and put in a dynomax bullit(dynomouth) sound good even with theTR224/112 cam and seems to have made more power

Swap out the resonator, I've heard the loudmouth on a cammed M6 car and it is extremely loud (especially on start up) and rapsy. There's no deep tone to it at all.
