waterpump? heres my problem, i was driving when i started to hear a wierd noise, then i started to smell something burning. so i pull to the nearest parking lot and turn off the car. i pop the hood totake a look and theres a little bit of smoke rising, but it was dark out and couldn't really take a good look at what was going on. so i decide to take the car home, and just as i turn the car on and back out the belt goes. i pick up the belt and go home. the belt is split and semi melted, so a pulley seized. i've been doing some searched but only been seeing thrown belts due to tensioners. now i'm pretty positive the waterpump seized. i went out after the car cooled and tried to turn the pulley and it wouldn't budge, but i'm not sure if thats how it always is.
so someone please confirm this for me so i can fix the problem asap.
