How are GM and Ford MAF's different?

Default How are GM and Ford MAF's different?

I'm out of resolution with the MAF on my car (exceeding 11,250 Hz regardless of the amount of air/sec you put in the ECM). Has anyone ever tried fabbing up a Ford MAF to work in a GM car. How are they different?

Any electrical engineers out there that know how you could reduce output frequency on a MAF?

I really need to find a way to make a MAF operate at lower frequencies...

just have a speed density tune done

You can run a ford maf on a GM car, you need to build a voltage 0-5 volt to frequency converter.

I have run a Ford lightning meter on my car to prove it could be done.

Unless yours won't make my ECM exceed 11,250 Hz, then it's no more use to me than my own 85mm SLP MAF.

I don't really want a SD tune mainly because I'm using a '98 ECM.
I have half of the resolution of a newer ECM in SD mode. And HP Tuners isn't planning on doing a 1 bar SD software tweak, that idea's out.

There's gotta be a way. There's some really damn smart people on this board, and apparently, slow is the only person that could pull it off (no offense man, we know you know your s#!t )?? I can't believe it's been 5 years since they stopped building them and nobody has come up with a fix for this yet
