Does it matter how long that balance pipe is? Mine will be probably 2 inches from pipe to pipe.

Oh, and should I make the H pipe 3" or 2.5"? It will come from a 3" to 2.5" somewhere around there.

sounds good to me. Mine will be where every one else puts theirs. My exhaust guy is trying to get me to buy a magnaflow X pipe he has at the shop. He's telling me what I already know about the x pipe. I've wanted an H pipe, and i'm stickin' to it! It'll be cheaper than buying that thing anyways. I think he just doesn't wanna build it.

Gee

READ the STICKY

Post 13 of the induction/exhaust sticky. David Vizard goes into great detail about desiging an exhaust system. He covers the use of mid pipes - it's worth a read.

lol it is, but theres some really good info in there.

Though limited to tests on engines up to a little fewer than 600 hp, there seems to be no measurable benefits to using a crossover pipe bigger than 2.75 inches in diameter. As for the crossover length, dyno results indicate that 18 inches responds in virtually the same manner as 72 inches long.

Yup, I read that and learned quite a bit. As long as my H pipe is at least 2.5" i'm happy.
