Default lid vs. fipk

i read the sticky about the intake and exhaust and it gave me this question. which is better? the K&N FIPK or a lid? it makes it sound like the K&N might be better suited for the WS6 hood. any input would be nice.

a lid. the K&N will suck in engine bay air which aint doin no damn good and costs 3x as much. a lid (a lid is a lid is a lid dont ask which is better) and CAI kit like the SSRA will yeild better gains for less money period

the fipk looks hella nice, but it does suck in hot air, you'd be better off going with a lid and a cold air kit, (ftra, ssra)
