Flowmaster make some truly great mufflers in terms of flow and sound. The "American Thunder" catback using the 80 Series muffler however is not one of their finest. Although it is still an improvement over a factory stock exhaust.

As for the 40 Series, well it's hard to tell, each car will sound different. Most people find they get very good results with the 10 Series flows. What sort of exhaust do you already have, it was hard to understand your post?

i have a 3 inch catback and the guy i got the car from said it was a random tech exhaust but i have seen pics of the random tech exhaust and i dont think it is so im not really shure what catback it have.
there is no name on it at all. it sounds ok but it fits like **** and my tips are all out of wack. thats why i was just going to get a single 3 inch muffler with a single out and have like a hidden turndown under the bumper.
can any one recommend a muffler?

I have The Flowmaster Amercan Thunder SOTL cat back
It is advertised as a system for dual cat LT1 Camaro's `95-97
It has an 3" Offset inlet 3" Offset outlet 40 series muffler.
Kit cost about $260
And Yes it will work on an LS1 because the Ypipes end in the same location on both Cars.
