Traction Control???

I am trying to prove a friend wrong that traction control has to do all with the brakes and throtte stop at the foot. He says it has to do with the the difference of a tire finding traction noting to do with brakes or throttle. He also say that traction control on a one wheeled vehicle such as a croch rocket is pointless....help me out guys to prove hiim wrong...it is worth a case of beer to me!!!!!!!

Traction control compares the speed of the rear wheels to the front wheels. When the rear wheels move faster than the fronts, the computer cuts power in different ways in different cars (fuel,spark,throttle), but anyways, it cuts power until all wheels are traveling at a similar rate of speed.

Traction control does use the brake but it only uses the abs system to tell wheel speed. On our cars it uses throttle to make the car get traction.
Yea I think traction control on a bike would be kinda dumb since the main reason for traction control is for slick condtions "ie" snow or rain and if your on a bike in either your screwed anyways.
