stupid plug wire question
stupid plug wire question hey all, i changed my plugs and wires last week and the car has been bouncing back and forth between running good and running crappy. I kept noticing the wires keep coming loose, so i tried to take them off and put some more of the electric grease on them and two of them had the little metal clips inside break off! can i still use them or should i get new ones? theyre taylors and apparently nobody carrys them near here, im away from home right now. plus its sunday so theyre hard to find
You need to put your stock ones back on and order some new ones. I had the same problem with my taylor 10.4 thundervolts and I just cleaned all the die-electric grease out, put a little on the contacts and not the rubber so it could stick on better. If you've broke your clips, you need new ones.
Taylors seem to always have wierd problems like that. I have a set of MSD's that have never given me a hint of a problem. I need to have another set for my Z28 because the taylors are coming apart.
