Default Primary size question

How much hp/tq would I be leaving on the table by using 1 3/4 primaries (Pacesetter) as opposed to a stepped 1 3/4"-1 7/8" (Edelbrock) or a 1 7/8" (Kooks, QTP) header?

Setup will be same as in my sig, only I'm switching to Livernois LS6 P&P heads, and a G5X3 on a 112 LSA. And upgrading my rod bolts.

Will the difference be significant?

from what i understand you wont be leaving a whole lot. id say a good choice would be the stepped headers. i think you would be very happy with them. id say hp diffrences would be noe more the 5-7hp. but im no expertso hopefully someone else will chime in.

We run our 1 3/4 HVMC headers on 402 with a 150 shot and run 10.0. We have yet to see the gains in a step or 1 7/8" header over our 1 3/4" If this cars drives on the street you will want the low end torque. Going larger header will hurt that.

I make 400 RWHP on custom 1-5/8" long tube headers (Mod's. in signature).
Can't speak to making any more power on 1-5/8" long tubes, but, can say that they're good up to 400 on my car.
